• Working Environment For many forest workers long working days mean no contact with the world around. It is, therefore, important that the working environment in our machines provides conditions making that the days do not feel so long. The cab is extremely silent to keep you fit during long working periods. For your comfort the work place is ergonomically designed with all displays and controls within comfortable reach.

• Steering There are two ways of steering the machine in the forest or on the road: By means of the steering wheel that you fold away when you are working. It makes the steering much more comfortable when driving on the road or on long base ways. The steering moment is high making the machine turn fast even in tough terrain. The lever for steering in terrain is situated adjacent to the righthand boom control lever. The machine is also equipped with cruise control. This saves your righthand leg when driving long distance.

• Driver´s Seat One of the most important things in the driver´s cab is the driver´s seat, as this is the place where the operator stays most of his working time. As standard the seat is air-cushioned and electrically heated. You release or lock it by gently pushing a button. Further standard items are neck rest and safety belt which will save you from having to brace against when driving in tough terrain. Optional features are: Seat tilting,aeration, electrically/pneumatically adjusting side and seat cushion respectively.

• Standard Boom Control Lever The picture shows the righthand lever in standard version. By means of the two ergonomically designed minilevers you operate the boom quite comfortably. The buttons for harvester head and bucking are within easy reach. Adjacent to the righthand lever the lever for steering in terrain is likewise within easy reach. The bright little rocker switch to the right serves for shifting the powershift gear.

• 5-button Boom Lever The picture shows the lefthand lever in 5-button version (option). Programming the different buttons is easy. By means of the buttons you don´t have to let go the lever when operating the harvester head or buck.

• Instrument Panel The position of the instrument panel is such that all buttons are within easy reach, both in forward and backward position. The buttons are large and easy to understand permitting simple and fast operation. The instrument panel also contains two sockets, 12 and 24 V respectively.

• ECC air-conditioning plant & Emergency stop As standard the machine is supplied with an (ECC) air-conditioning plant, which will keep the temperature in the cab constant even on a hot summer day. The emergency stop button is easily accessible from the driver´s seat, both in forward and backward position.

• Computer The Dasa 4 computer is known for excellent bucking. The standard version includes operations follow-up and forwarder communication. Map information on the object is entered by means of the GPS/GIS data . For thinning work for instance support lines for line thinning lanes are inserted, which will facilitate working in the dark. Information on production and records of line thinning lanes covered are easily transferred to the forwarder. The supervisor is informed about work produced including the coordinates of log distribution via mobile telephone. Navigation between the different menus is carried out direct on the touch screen or via keyboard.

• IQAN Experience The IQAN Experience is now available with a larger and more clearly arranged colour display. Moving from menu to menu for information and adjustment is arranged in an easy and logical way. The operation of the boom is even more fine-adjusted and is easily set for individual working mode. Four operators can select their own individual programme. From here you adjust the flow rate of the boom pump by selecting one of the different pre-set flow rates at different speed. This means you adjust the flow rate to your personal way of working, the forest and the requirements of different harvester heads.

• Storage The driver´s cab features a number of storage facilities, for instance a locker in the roof panel. A hot cabinet is available for heating meals and a cupholder for drinks. A paperholder for household paper sits within easy reach in the roof adjacent to the door. All this is Gremo standard, of course.
